Vendor Love: Goose & Bear Paper Co.

I love stumbling upon vendors who own their own small businesses. I feel like we all are in this together and have to support one another to help us succeed. So, when an old friend from college (go gators!) recently got in touch with me about her new business, I absolutely had to do a post about it. Natalie owns Goose & Bear Paper Co., which specializes in fine stationary and letterpress invitations (mmmmm…letterpress). Her work is unique, charming and fresh.

Why and when did you start your company?
I began my company last January after pining over the idea for 6 months.  It was during a time that many transitions were happening in my life…I got married, went on my honeymoon for 2 weeks and when I got back we packed up and moved from NYC to North Carolina.  Life was VERY different and though I transferred jobs within the same company, even where I was working felt different and not like me.  I soon realized I was wasting time not being happy in my work and decided to dive into my paper company idea.  I’d been making cards for fun in New York with a friend and I realized that my fun could be my work!

What is your overall vision?
I like to keep things lighthearted, fun and simple and my goal is to bring these elements into my designs.  Hopefully that’s what comes out : )

What services do you offer?
On my website, you can order cards as well as pre-designed wedding invitations (digital and letterpressed).  I also offer custom invitation design for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers and any event you can think of.  Recently, my main clients have been brides and I adore designing for them. Invitations are the first glimpse for each guest into the day of the wedding, and I love to help my clients make that first impression.  I also help them carry out their theme throughout the wedding.  Currently, I’m working with a bride on her program, menu, place cards and these cute little “make a wish” for the couple cards. LOVE!

Be sure to check out Goose & Bear Paper Co. for your future needs. Congrats on your business Natalie, can’t wait to order some holiday cards! :)
